  1. Approach to the project

Architects, Interior Designers, Purchasers, Clients; each of these figures requires special attention, targeted expertise, proven professionalism: in this way, their expectations can be met.

  1. Project specifications / Initial investigation

During this stage, all the financial and technical information is discussed and given to the Client. Preliminary drawings, quotes, alternative proposals for materials and components, samples: these features work together to define the project specifications that will be referred to until the work is finished. 

  1. Engineering

This is a series of activities to source materials, develop and produce complex construction drawings using CAD 2-3D PDM (Product Data Management) systems, and make prototypes: these activities are carried out the dedicated contribution of the Operations team, which consist of the specialist from Brabbu. During this stage, the corporate know how is translated into a fine-tuning of materials, details and processes that must satisfy the formal specifications of the plans. Prototypes are made with the cooperation of the Brabbu & Development Center.

  1. Project Plan

Identifying and positioning the elements being supplied within each area and for each purpose (bedroom, public area, etc). Creation of the BOM (Bill of Materials) for each individual area.

  1. Identification of assembly process

For each area, the assembly procedures for all items are established and coded, with the traceability of the components and the timescale in which the materials will be prepared. This stage is a significant part of the ongoing monitoring of the work in progress.

  1. Production / Purchaising

Karladesign Contract uses product units from Covet Group and a strong network of subcontractors that has been built up over 20 years of activity. Products made for the world of contracts are remarkable as they are unique. These are custom products that have to measure up to strict quality standards and fulfil the regulations in the countries they are destined for.

  1. Quality Control

Partly due to the fact that the most complex pieces are mocked-up or assembled at headquarters, the project and production are constantly being monitored. The quality criteria are checked scrupulously, starting from the selection of the chosen materials, and continuing through ceaseless monitoring of the procedures during processing and completion.

  1. Logistics

This activity is of vital importance for complex projects, and becomes even more crucial when working internationally. The same responsiveness and timeliness are required for all projects, regardless of the continent in which they are taking place. The Contract Division is able to manage large volumes of finished products in its own warehouses, divided by project and destination. This makes it possible to deal with any demand from the construction site at any time, and allows the division to react promptly to any change of plan. Ad hoc packaging is designed for each type of product and destination country. The time needed to finish projects is less and less, and on site work proceeds in parallel to the production of the furniture.

  1. Assembly Installation

The furnishing elements are delivered following a working schedule that corresponds to the various stages of assembly. The packages are easy to reconise and follow a logical sequence that makes it easier for specialist teams to do their job.
